Governor Announces Impaired Driving Crackdown from Now Through January 1

As part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” initiative, Governor Andrew Cuomo recently announced that state and local law enforcement agencies throughout New York will be stepping up patrols to crack down on impaired driving during the busy holiday travel season.

The enforcement campaign began on Wednesday, Dec. 11 and will continue through Wednesday, Jan. 1. The crackdown is designed to reduce alcohol and drug-related traffic crashes.
