Fewer Cars Entering NYC During Congestion Pricing
As everyone knows by now, drivers are now charged to enter Manhattan at and below 60th Street. During peak times, which are between 5am and 9pm on weekdays, drivers with E-ZPasses are charged up to $9 to cross into the Central Business District. The toll drops to $2.25 overnight and is cheaper at certain tunnels.
Is it working?
The early data backs up that traffic is down, the streets feel safer, and buses are moving faster.
Other than the cost, what’s been your experience with congestion pricing?
