Report: NY Traffic Laws Could Use Some Improvement

A new report from the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety Organization is showing New York State's traffic laws need some improvement.

Only seven states received a "green" ranking from the organization, meaning the state is significantly advanced toward adopting all of the Advocates' recommended optimal laws.

New York received a yellow ranking, due to the the lack of a graduated drivers license, cell phone restrictions, enforcement of a rear seat belt law, New York's booster seat law and allowing 18-year-olds to have an unrestricted license.
